About Us

Karana Downs (KD for short) is a small town with a population of about 4500 located in the Brisbane area about 25 minutes from the Brisbane CBD and around 15 minutes from the Ipswich CBD.

Karana Downs – and the golf course – sit ideally on the Brisbane River, with the 5th and 6th holes (right on the river) as the most picturesque holes on the course.

Our clubhouse is an older style building with more inside than first meets they eye...

As you first walk through our glass front doors you are fronted with a tiled 80 - 160 seat fully licenced Bistro dinging/ function with Cocktail Bar for lounging in a scenic glass fronted area whilst sipping a cocktail.

We also have our "Albatross Room" which offers fine dining and is open Thur to Sun.

Our bar is fully equiped with 6 icey taps each side (main bar and restaurant), snack foods, a wide selection of wines, sprits, cocktails, mocktails and most importantly friendly staff to serve you.

Some of our facilites include a recently landscaped  pool, double tennis courts (both open to the public) and pool tables inside the bar area and a brand new water front grassed area, prefect for those Summer Wedding Ceremonies.

Our Proshop is fully stocked with all your golfing needs at great prices, our friendly staff are always willing to help you out with whatever your needs are, just ask.
