Wayne Drover Running Hot
Former Club Captain Wayne Drover is in the hottest form seen by any club player this year.
Wayne's 2010 golf year has started in blistering fashion. He has won 4 Saturday single events and run second once. Included in these victories were the February and March A Grade Monthly Medals.
His February win blitzed the A Grade field recording 9 under handicap but his March victory was secured under the most difficult playing conditions in many years. A week of rain had the course playing its very hardest which was reflected in the scores of the day. On this occassion 2 under handicap was enough for Wayne's second medal this year. Only two players in the entire field shot better than their handicap.
The handicapper has had the red pen out and Wayne's good form has seen his handicap reduced from 10.9 to 8.1.
His next major event is with his partner Steve Woods competing against Chris Price and Ken Parker (former Club President) in the first round of 4BBB Matchplay.
